Arenas could miss season opener
Washington Wizards point guard Gilbert Arenas may miss the team’s season opener because of an ankle injury.
Head coach Flip Saunders said there is some fluid buildup in the ankle and he missed practice again.
Saunders is hopeful to get Arenas back but said he thinks the team will be fine without him because he hasn’t been able to play that much in the preseason.
The guard was fined by the team already this year for faking an injury in order to let a fellow teammate start in his place.
Arenas has vowed to return to his former self on the court and has taken a more serious approach with the media this season.
